Summer Camp for Kids
Give your children a great experience this summer, by sending them for four fun filled days of adventure at Ballinreeshig Nature Farm with Will and Away!
The Will and Away summer camp for kids:
- Introduces children to the wonders of nature
- Encourages a spirit of co-operation and good teamwork
- Teaches valuable lessons about important outdoor skills and knowledge
- Shows kids how to survive in the wild by finding food, water, shelter and making fire
- Increases awareness about organic farming and our Irish heritage
- Helps children understand the benefits and importance of our beautiful ecosystems
Day 1; "An Introduction to Nature"
Nature awareness games, camp craft, making fire and outdoor cooking
Day 2; "Learning to Survive the Wilderness"
Orienteering, abseiling and natural shelter building
Day 3; "A Day for Adventure"
Glen adventure walk, tree climbing and storytelling
Day 4; "The Will and Away Graduation Day"
Tribal team challenges, animal tracking, leave no trace and environmental art
-Camp runs from Mon the 16th to Thurs the 19th of July 2012
-The camp costs €175 per child and is suitable for ages 8-12
-10% discount for more than one child
-The camp includes complimentary Leave No trace awareness certification
-It runs from 10 am to 4 pm each day
