Safety Statement and Child Protection Policy
- “Will and Away” strives to operate through best practice in order to ensure the safety of all clients.
- Where necessary, the guidelines of National Governing Bodies are adhered to
- “Will and Away” has adequate insurance cover in place for all activities, to cover both public and employer liability.
- All staff have valid first aid qualifications.
- All staff are Garda vetted.
- All staff undertake a child protection course.
- There will generally be a staff/client ratio of 1;10
- The staff/client ratio can be exceeded when working with schools, as teacher participation will ensure an adequate ratio.
- The ratio can only be exceeded in situations not requiring the guidelines of National Governing Bodies to be adhered to.
- Emergency evacuation strategies and fire safety precautions are always in place
